The Monday Night Football match between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals was delayed after Bills safety Damar Hamlin, 24, collapsed on the field after a crash in the first quarter and was carried away by ambulance in critical condition, according to a report from the N.F.L. With six minutes remaining in the first quarter and the Bills trailing, 7-3, Hamlin tackled Bengals receiver Tee Higgins after a 13-yard catch. Higgins rammed into Hamlin at the total rate, emerging to hit him in the head and chest area. Hamlin quickly stood up, took two steps, crumpled backward, and his body moved limply.

Medical personnel administered C.P.R. and listened to him for 10 minutes as players from both teams were visibly upset. Some shed rips on the sideline while others circled jointly and knelt in prayer. One medical professional appeared to administer an IV. Hamlin was subsequently placed on a stretcher and transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The N.F.L. revealed that Buffalo Bills security Damar Hamlin is in critical condition after crumpling in the area during Monday night's match between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. The game was in the last moments of the first quarter when the 24-year-old Damar Hamlin tackled Bengals receiver, Tee Higgins. It's unclear exactly what happened, but a correspondent for ESPN broadcasting the game said that Hamlin "created a hit, he got up, took a couple of steps, and then just dropped to the ground."

Damar Romeyelle Hamlin, born on March 24, 1998, is a famous American football security for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (N.F.L.). Damar played college football at Pittsburgh. On January 2, 2023, during a Monday Night Football match against the Cincinnati Bengals, Hamlin collapsed on the field after producing a hard tackle.

Damar was administered C.P.R. before being rushed to the hospital. Damar Hamlin grew up in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and took part in Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. He was called first-team All-State and the Class AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.
