LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The day has finally arrived when DC fans can finally take a sigh of relief and jump in excitement as James Gunn announced the first slate of projects while looking forward to resetting the DC Universe as a whole. Gunn announced the new projects in a video uploaded on his official Twitter account and mapped out how DC Universe will be moving forward.


In the video, the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' helmer noted that Ezra Miller's 'The Flash' will be responsible for resetting the entire DC Universe. On the other hand, movies such as 'Blue Beetle' and 'Aquaman 2' lead directly to the new slate of titles in the DC Universe. The first chapter of the new slats will be called 'Gods & Monsters' and will feature projects such as 'Superman: Legacy' (movie), 'Creature Commandos' (TV/animation), 'Waller' (TV/Live Action), 'Lanterns' (TV/Live Action), 'The Authority' (movie), and 'Paradise Lost' (TV/Live Action).

'Superman: Legacy' will start the new DC Universe

'Superman: Legacy' will be the beginning of the DC Universe and will release on July 11, 2025. The movie is being written by James Gunn who might possibly direct it as well. As of now, the cast hasn't been announced. Meanwhile, the introduction of Batman in the DC Universe will be happening with 'The Brave and the Bold'. This version of Batman will be existing separately from the version played by Robert Pattinson in Matt Reeves' 'The Batman'. The film will also introduce 'The Bat Family', including Bruce Wayne's son Damian Wayne.

'Superman: Legacy'

The film is being written by James Gunn and will focus on the superhero balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. The movie will release in theatres on July 11, 2025.

'The Authority'

The characters of WildStorm will be entering DCU as members of The Authority who won't shy away from taking matters into their hands and delivering justice however they can.


'The Brave and The Bold'

Batman will be introduced in the DC Universe with this movie and will also feature Bruce Wayne's son Damian Wayne as Robin. Inspired by the comic series created by Grant Morrison, the movie will focus on the father-son relationship between Bruce and Damian.

'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow'

Based on the award-winning comic series by Tom King, the viewers will be seeing Supergirl as they have never seen before.

'Swamp Thing'

The movie will investigate the dark origins of 'Swamp Thing'.


'Paradise Lost'

Set in Themyscira, home of the Amazons and birthplace of Wonder Woman, this drama focuses on the genesis and political intrigue of an island of all women.


'Creature Commandos'

The first season of the animation series has been written by James Gun himself and will feature seven episodes. It will see Amanda Waller creating a Black-ops team out of monstrous prisoners.


One of the biggest live-action series coming from DC Studios, 'Lanterns' will primarily focus on Hal Jordan and John Stewart and a few other Lanterns as well. This is a terrestrial-based TV series.



Based on the amazing character named Amanda Waller, the series will see Viola Davis reprising the role of the top official and feature Team Peacemaker.

'Booster Gold'

A fascinating story about a 'loser' who uses future technology to come back to the present day and become a superhero so that people will love him. The series will premiere on HBO Max.
